Best Easter Bunnies Toddler Craft
This simple and fun activity is sure to have your toddler hopping around the house for Easter and Spring! You can find many variations of this craft online, here is our own spin on it!
For this activity you will need socks, various colors will be great. Try looking through the mismatched stack of your toddlers! You will want a crew top though. You will also need dry beans, a rubber band, ribbon, stickers, markers, and if desired scissors, felt, and other decorating items.
You will essentially be making your own beanbag, so have your child spoon the dry beans into the sock and secure with a rubber band. If your toddler is still teething and will be playing with this bunny, you may want to stitch it shut as well as an extra precaution. Next tie a ribbon about an inch lower, just below the heal. This will be a head for the bunny. You can then use your felt to decorate your bunny. If your toddler is younger though, try using the stickers that come with Easter egg dyes to make the eyes, nose, and mouth. They will enjoy glitter glue and markers as well. Remember their craft doesn't have to be perfect, let them make the bunny however they want. When you do this, you will capture exactly where they are developmentally and will appreciate it in later years as a keepsake. To finish, cut the sock's cuff into two ears.
These bunnies will make perfect companions for your little one this season.
Make sure to do the Bunny Hop next. You may want to read the book from Sesame Street "The Bunny Hop". Don't forget to check the Spring Theme for more ideas!
