Easy Bunny Toddler Craft

There are few activities and crafts as easy as this one! It is perfect for Easter, Spring, or a B is for Bunny Theme!

For this activity you will need, construction paper, pre-cut felt eyes, nose, and mouth, glue, and cotton balls.

Talk to your toddler about how soft bunnies are. Talk about how they like to hop around and eat carrots. Use this time to be educational, give them simple facts, things they will remember. You may want to read a book. 'Pat the Bunny' by Dorothy Kunhardt is a great one to use.

Start by making the shape of a bunny on the construction paper, a large circle and two ears. No need to be exact, you are having your toddler cover it with cotton balls next. After they cover the glue with the cotton, have them place the eyes, nose, and mouth where they go and your done! Easy as pie!

It is such a great activity because of its simplicity, yet it gives your child to play with textures and practice vocabulary and fine motor skills.

Studies have shown that an average 24 month old toddler can say around 50 words. At any age, children can understand more words than they can say. During the third year of life, a toddler's "receptive vocabulary" will grow by a few thousand words!
