Happy Face Pizzas
This is a great activity for toddlers to practice a number of skills. Cooking reinforces sensory and fine motor as well as math skills. This recipe in particular leaves room for your toddler to also practice shapes and reasoning.
You will need: 1 can of refrigerated ready made Pillsbury Biscuits, All Beef Hot Dogs, Spaghetti Sauce, Mozzarella Cheese, Green Pepper, sliced thin, and Olives.
Heat your oven as directed on the can of biscuits, generally 425 degrees. Have your toddler flatten out the biscuit. Let them spread the sauce on the crust and then the fun begins! Encourage your toddler to make a face. Use the hot dogs for eyes, sliced olive for a nose, and green pepper for a smile. Then top with some cheesy hair. Bake them as directed on the can, about 10-12 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
Your toddler will have a blast participating in this activity and it is a sure way to get them to eat their veggies!
