Playdough Recipes

Playdough can be made straight from your kitchen! It can not only help your bill at the store, but can be safer for your little one. One of the great things about making your playdough is that you can control the colors and texture. We have listed several types of recipes for you to try. Try them all, make sure that you store them in air tight containers. Although you can make these recipes with your toddler, it may be easier to make them ahead of time!

Here are a few of the most interesting to get you started!

Edible Play Dough

Edible play dough is definitely the kids favorite. You can make play-food from play dough and even eat it!

For this recipe you will need:
* 3 teaspoons of cream of tartar
* a cup of flour
* a cup of water
* a package of Kool Aid (unsweetened)
* a half cup of salt
* one tablespoon of cooking oil

Instructions:
Mix all the ingredients in a medium large pan.
Add oil and water.
Cook on medium heat and stir until it gets "doughy"!


Jello Play Dough

Ingredients:
*1 cup of flour
*half a cup of salt
*2 tablespoons of cream of tartar
*2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
*1 cup of warm water
*3 ounces of Jello by your choice

Mix together all the ingredients.
Cook on medium heat until the mixture gets thick.
Cool it and have fun!
