Purple Grapes Toddler Activity

When studying about the color purple, make sure to serve plenty of items that are purple including red (purple) grapes. To simulate the appearance of grapes, make your own grape art with your toddler.

You will need purple construction paper cut into small circles, a piece of construction paper in a contrasting color and glue.

Let your toddler glue the pieces to form a cluster of grapes. Practice counting the grape circles as you glue them to the paper. As your toddler is working on the craft, make sure to use this time to work on vocabulary with your toddler. Examples of conversation include the color purple, the shape circle, the word grape, or the letter G.

In this activity your toddler will be practicing vocabulary building, color recognition, shape recognition, and fine motor skills. Don't forget to check out or Colors Theme Section for more ideas!
