Quiet Fairy Toddler Game

Gather some of your loudest toys, shakers, microphones, pots and pans, anything that makes noise.  You can always make a few drums with some empty formula or oatmeal cans.  Then explain to your tot that quiet starts with the letter Q.  Allow your toddler to make as much noise as they want until the fairy comes and says, "Quiet".  Make sure to say that very softly.  Toddlers will love immitating this action and it is great practice for them knowing what quiet means when you need to!  Take turns and allow them to be in charge a little too!

This activity will sure to get their movement going and assist them with developing social skills!

Studies have shown that an average 24 month old toddler can say around 50 words. At any age, children can understand more words than they can say. During the third year of life, a toddler's "receptive vocabulary" will grow by a few thousand words!
