Teeny-Weeny Snowman

Toddlers love to carry little things around, especially when they are around 18 months. You will notice they start to carry babies and animals and imitate behavior too! These tot sized snowman are a perfect activity for your little one as they will be able to play out the snowy days!

For this activity you will need an adult sized white sock, tissue or poly fill, white string or ribbon, markers, and other scrap materials.

Have your child stuff the white sock with facial tissue, paper towels, beans, cotton, scrap material, whatever you would like to or have around the house. Tie it in two places to make a division for the snowman. Help your child add eyes, nose, mouth with the scrap material or markers. Make sure to be aware of choking materials when decorating the snowman for those toddlers that are still in the teething phase. Finish it up with a nice ribbon around the neck. You may want to play hide and seek with the snowman now. Your toddler will love finding it throughout the house!

Studies have shown that an average 24 month old toddler can say around 50 words. At any age, children can understand more words than they can say. During the third year of life, a toddler's "receptive vocabulary" will grow by a few thousand words!
