Top 3 Foods for Teething Toddler
Teething can be a difficult time as you may find that your toddler will not want to eat much because of the sensitivity, or want to eat everything. There are foods that can help your toddler work through this phase and leave you feeling pleased that they attained their nutrition for a day.
Frozen Peas: This is a great snack or meal food with plenty of nutrition. The baby pea itself is small enough that it does not constitute as a choking hazard and if you leave the peas out for just a few minutes, they will be cold, but not frozen. Children love these for the coldness on their gums, but also because it gives them something that they can try to pick up.
Pop Ice: Popcicles and Pop Ice are a great alternative, you can now find them in a Pedialyte form at most drug stores. Teethers will love to gnaw on them, just be cautious that once it begins to melt that the ice does not become lodged in their throat. Always give this snack with adult supervision.
Corn on the Cob: A toddler may not be able to get much corn off of it, but they will love chewing on this edible teether. It allows them the freedom to work their gums and will allow you to enjoy your meal while they are busy. You can find small (4 inch) pieces of corn on the cob in your grocery freezer section already cleaned and prepared as well.
